Gotesco Construction and Development Corporation (GCDC) is one of several entities under the Gotesco Group of Companies which likewise originated from GO TONG ELECTRICAL SUPPLY COMPANY (GOTESCO) whose humble beginnings started in 1945 selling surplus in downtown, Manila. With consistent sales growth and increases in annual sales, other support groups were created to handle various priority requirements in the commercial and industrial sectors. It was only in the latter part of 1994 when the government has enjoined the private sector and called for their active participation in developing high-end technology towards full industrialization and into the next millennium.

The Gotesco Group of Companies quickly responded to this invitation thus paving the way for the rise of GOTESCO CONSTRUCTION AND DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION. Established in February, 1995, GCDC became the technical arm of the group of companies and was given the primary task of handling the special projects division utilizing its expertise in automation systems, more particularly, the SCADA / Telemetry system, an acronym for Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition and including associated activities along the lines of Telecommunication, Instrumentation, Water Treatment and other engineering related undertakings.
